Minecraft Map Explores the World Of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates

A good Minecraft map can take you anywhere you'd like to go. Sometimes that's going to be to the world of Bikini Bottom with Spongebob Squarepants DLC, and occasionally, it's going to be to the world of Breath of the Wild thanks to some mods. Instead the map of today will take you on a trip through the history.

Now, we know that not everyone is into history - it's a bit boring and there aren't nearly enough actual dragons to satisfy many of us - but that doesn't stop it from being worth celebrating sometimes. The Peace Builders map is designed to help you follow four Nobel Peace Prize Laureates on their journey to make the world better.

There's a lot of information to be learned here even if all you do is watch the trailer. You might not be aware of little details, like the name of the prize in honor of Alfred Nobel, the man who invented the explosive substance known as dynamite. The map includes Jody Williams, who fought against mines; Desmond Tutu, who helped end apartheid in South Africa; and Carl Von Ossietzky who helped discover the terrible crimes of the Nazis.

This map isn't your standard Minecraft map. However, it's worth your time if provides a deeper understanding of the background of those who have helped the world and not just those who hurt it. It's also nice to learn something new while playing a game, which is usually what Minecraft: Education Edition is all about.

After you've learned about the Peace Prize, why not take a look at some amazing Minecraft houses while your brain process everything? You could also learn how to plant Minecraft mangrove trees before helping to plant some of them in the Mangrove Restoration Project. We can all help make our virtual worlds a better place too in the end.
